Abstract
The article provides a theoretical basis for extending the study of humour into mass media domains. It overviews the research questions central to the history of humour studies and addresses the two paradigms around which the linguistics of humour has spun: on the one hand, structurally-oriented approaches and, on the other, interactional and pragmatic ones.
Abstract (in Czech)
Článek je teoretickým úvodem ke studiu humoru v masmediálních kontextech. Text podává přehled otázek, kterými se v oblasti humoru zabývali badatelé v minulosti, a rozebírá dvě základní paradigmata, v rámci nichž se v moderní době humor analyzuje, tj. strukturně orientovou a interakčně-pragmatickou analýzu.
