Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit deutschen Konstruktionen mit es in der Rolle des Korrelats. Es werden Korrelate in der Position des Subjektes und des Akkusativobjektes unterschieden und die Satzstrukturen mit dem Korrelat es beschrieben. Im kontrastiven Teil wird nach tschechischen Entsprechungen des deutschen Korrelates es gesucht. Die Studie stützt sich auf authentisches Belegmaterial der elektronischen tschechisch-deutschen Parallelkorpora, CNPK und InterCorp.

This chapter deals with German structures with es in the function of correlate. It distinguishes the correlate in the position of subject and object, and describes the structure of sentences with correlates, focusing on the types of predicates and on the placement of the correlate. The contrastive part of the analysis atempts to find counterparts of the German correlate es in Czech parallels. (only one real counterpart of 400 analyzed parallels!). The end of this chapter indicates the direction of further research in this area. The research is based on parallel language data extracted from the corpora InterCorp and ČNPK.
