Abstract

Tento teoretický příspěvek představil fenomén „šílených střelců“, sumarizoval vybrané okruhy vztahující se k této problematice. Text také představil základní definice, pojmy a koncepty („signální zločin“, teorie morální paniky). Rovněž byly zmíněny některé kriminologické teorie, limity případných výzkumů této problematiky a možný vztah mezi případy „šílené střelby“ a médii (např. počítačovými hrami). Na závěr byly velice stručně popsány 4 případy „šílené střelby“, které ilustrovaly skutečnost, že jednotliví pachatelé měli zcela rozdílné motivy, psychické vlastnosti, ale i rozdílný přístup ke zbraním a střelivu.

Abstract (in English)

This theoretical paper presented the phenomenon of “crazy shooters” and summarized selected issues concerning this problem. Text also presented some basic definitions and concepts (“signal crime”, theory of moral panic). Some criminological theories, limits of potential research of this problem and possible relation between the cases of “crazy shooting” and media (e.g. computer games) were introduced. Finally, four examples of “crazy shootings” which illustrated the fact that particular criminals had entirely different motives, psychical character and access to guns and ammunition, were mentioned.
