Abstract
The Czech legislation on the issue of permitting the introduction of alien plant and animal species is not sufficient especially for the reason that it does not reflect the danger of alien species invasiveness. This state is not in harmony with the results of biological research. Compared with other states, e.g. Slovak Republic, the Czech legislation is not well designed in terms of nature protection and general principles of Environmental Law such as prevention and precaution diligence.
