The topic of my Bachelor Thesis is „The impact of Euro
introduction on the European Economic and Monetary Union’s
trade – expectations and reality“. My intention was to compare
the expected and the real consequences. In the first part of
the Bachelor Thesis, I focused on presenting a process of
establishing and basic characteristics of the Monetary and
Economic Union itself. The second part of the thesis summarizes
a common currency features. The third part analysis what was
generally expected from Euro implementation. In the very last
part is being summarized what kind of trade changes really
occured after some countries accepted Euro as their official
currency.
