This thesis deals with the development of applications with
graphical user interface on the .NET platform using the C#
programming language. It also takes a closer look at three
libraries for creating graphical user interfaces, namely
WinForms, WPF and UWP libraries. Using these libraries, a
graphical user interface is implemented to see if these
libraries are still relevant today and can stand up to the
challenge of creating a modern and clean looking application.
The evaluation of the selected libraries is firstly done in a
theoretical way by evaluating them against several specific
criteria. Then, the development using each library is evaluated
and finally the resulting applications are evaluated by several
users using a questionnaire.
