The bachelor's thesis „Human sperm DNA and its disturbances“ will concern with published data about the mechanisms of DNA breaks present in the human sperm head and the possible causes and the time and place of their origin. Further the present knowledge about the influence of the DNA breaks onto the development of human embryo and reparation possibilities and abilities of fertilized egg. Among the current methods of the DNA breaks detection belongs TUNEL assay, SCSA test, SCD test and comet assay. Possibilities of the separation of viable spermatozoa from those with high frequency of breaks will be also described. DNA sperm damage may cause a difference between fertile and infertile man and this is also why current methods of assisted reproductive treatment deal with this problem.
