Nowadays, we are facing to many questions and doubts regarding the security in Europe as the migration crisis is still an ongoing issue. Free movement is recognized as one of the biggest advantages of the EU. However, all Schengen benefits may be threatened by the current security risks. The attached diploma thesis is dealing with the topic of security challenges at the time of migration crisis from the perspective of the Central European states. It focuses on the biggest security issue. The main goal of this work is to provide the coherent analysis of the Central European states' attitude - Slovak republic, the Czech republic, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Poland towards security in Europe. Thanks to the content analysis of presidents, prime ministers and ministers ‘speech, we can evaluate the approach of every state and realize if the situation will get better or worse at the time. The work uses the parameters and categories in order to find the answers to the main research questions. In the first chapter, the work provides detailed information about the current security situation in Europe and names all security problems. In the second chapter, all data are assessed and divided into a few categories. Due to this, the work can provide the results of the analysis and show some predictions about the future of European security. In the last chapter, the work provides the final analysis thanks to which all states will be categorised according to the characteristic features and parameters.
