The thesis focuses on the information literacy education at a
specific primary school. The theoretical part introduces the
concept of information literacy in the Czech and foreign
environment and related researches. The empirical part presents
the results of the research carried out at the Primary School
Chotěboř.
The main aim of the case study is to find out the concept of
the information literacy education at the 2nd grade of this
primary school. The topic is seen from a point of view of the
teachers within all chosen methods. Especially, their
understanding of the concept of the information literacy and
the personal relationship to this issue, the chosen educational
content, study materials and the activities assigned to pupils
are identified.
