This thesis aims to identify the differences that exist between the allocation of financial resources in a centralized financial system and decentralized finance, with a special focus on the United States. In this context, the analysis is based on the following four aspects: cost of capital, accessibility, efficiency, and risk protection. It combines theoretical perspectives with empirical indicators to better understand how decentralized financial structures operate compared to conventional systems.
