The bachelor thesis "The parents“ requirements and expectations for diet in kindergarten" deals with the opinions and attitudes that parents have on school meals in kindergartens. Its subject is to map parents' expectations about eating at the child's inception in pre-school education and then to identify the requirements that parents may have for possible changes in their children's diets. The main research was carried out through individual interviews with parents of children who had recently entered kindergarten; these interviews were divided into two rounds (September and December). The research was complemented by individual interviews with kindergarten teachers and an electronic questionnaire for parents of pre-school children. Parents particularly expect a balanced and healthy diet, as well as their kindergarten child being fed a sufficient quantity of food. The most common requirements the parents asked for are healthy, varied, balanced and tasty food, unsweetened drinks and enough fruits and vegetables. The theoretical part deals with the diet and nutrition of pre-school children, food restrictions and meals in kindergarten.
