The diploma thesis deals with complex diagnostics of a pupil
with mild intellectual disability. It is divided into two
parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part is
described mental disability with a focus on its mild form,
specific learning disabilities and current situation concerning
education of pupils with special education needs in primary
education with a focus on these types of disabilities. The
empirical part of the thesis summarizes the knowledge gained
through interviews from consultants of school advisory
facilities and teachers of common schools. It deals with the
complex process of diagnostics of pupils with mild mental
disabilities, the process of diagnostics of specific learning
disorders of these pupils and the impact of diagnostics on the
educational process of pupils.
