This thesis deals with studies of matures beside their job and family. A theoretic part consists of two main chapters. The first chapter concerns lifelong learning and education, the second focuses on adult education issues. An empiric part contains methodology and interpretation of implemented research which is focused on finding out how the adults connect their studies and work to family life. Thus, it deals with their study motivation, possible complications, also with supporting mechanisms, which facilitate their studies, then it deals with other people’s attitude to their studies, time management and finally also with benefits resulting from the studies.
