The aim of this thesis was to compare communities of benthic macroinvertebrates and measured environmental variables on 24 localities in the Moravian Karst, divided in two ways: caves with karst springs and polluted with non-polluted. The next aim was to evaluate, which environmental variables have significant influence on the macroinvertebrate communities. In this thesis, seven samples were collected in the Moravian Karst as supplementary to the data, collected for the bachelor thesis. Altogether, samples from 24 localities in the Moravian Karst were collected, specifically: 12 from caves and 12 from karst springs. Physical and chemical parameters were measured on each site, also width, depth of the watercourse and percantages of substrate components were estimated. More complex groups of macroinvertebrates from bachelor thesis were determined together with groups from obtained from the last sampling with great emphasis on water clitellates. Altogether, 3080 individuals of macroinvertebrates in 104 taxa and nine higher taxonomical groups were recorded. The highest diversity was found in clitellates, where 470 individuals in 40 taxa were recorded, often with unique occurrence. No significant difference was found in macroinvertebrate communities between compared groups of localities, divided according to pollution. Environmental variables with significant influence on the macroinvertebrate community were watercourse bed roughness (phi8) and calcium concentrations.
