The objective of this work is comparison of the role and duties
of the Local police in public government systems with the role
and duties of the Czech Republic Police. This thesis briefly
describes the historical development of the local police. It
defines the organization and management, legislation,
jurisdiction and duties of local police and Czech Republic
Police. Comparison of both security forces is carried out in
several aspects. Namely the establishment, organization, legal
status, in terms of their scope, responsibilities, authority
and coercive means.
