The thesis with the topic "Care before Adoption" includes legal aspects of pre-adoption care in relation to the institution of adoption and the changes that occurred in connection with the recodification of private law. There is dealt with the problems of care before adoption at two basic levels, both within the facultative immediate care and the obligatory pre-adoptive care in the strict sense. There is mainly highlighted their content, the comparison with the previous legislation and procedural aspects of the custody of a minor child in this care. Subsequently there is dealt with suspension of rights and obligations resulting from the parental responsibility as well as an excurcus into the Slovak legislation of care before adoption. The thesis also contains considerations de lege ferenda in relation to the European Conventions as the basis of European standards, whereas it takes into account the principles established by the Commission on European Family Law and the Model Family Code.
