This thesis focuses on the construction of media image of presidential election campaigns in the United States in the selected Russian print media. Our goal is to describe, analyse and interpret mechanisms of the construction of media image in four daily newspapers that are claimed to be pro-Kremlin. In the thesis, we follow one month periods during three election campaigns in the years of 2000, 2004 and 2008. The results obtained from quantitative content analysis served us to compare and identify transformations of media image of American presidential election campaigns in the analysed dailies.
