Tribe Camelineae belongs to the important plant family of crucifers (Brassicaceae). Although it includes the most important model plant organism Arabidopsis thaliana, the most of the tribe’s species remain practically unexamined. Brassicaceae is the only plant family for which the method of comparative chromosomal painting (CCP) is feasible in large scale. This method is used to unveil a probable genome evolution for investigated speices. In this diploma thesis, karyotype structures of four Camelineae species are introduced as they were reconstructed with CCP. These were compared with the Ancestral Crucifer Karyotype (ACK). Analysis of the karyotype structures provides possible directions of the chromosome evolution in the tribe Camelineae.
