Abstract

Cieľom tejto práce je porovnať diela Hadriánové pamäti a Portréty světovládců I, a zistiť nakoľko sa Yourcenarová nechala inšpirovať Portrétami světovládců I. Porovnaním sa pokúsime zistiť, akým spôsobom bol pozmenený Hadriánov portrét a aké majú tieto zmeny vplyv na interpretáciu diela ako celku.

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to compare two works, Memoirs of Hadrien and Portréty světovládců I, and to discover how much Yourcenar was inspired by the work Portréty světovládců I. By the comparison we try to find out the manner how Yourcenar changed the Hadrian's profile and how these changes influence the interpretation of the whole work.
