The methodology used allows to determine whether the terminology of annual reports actually exists and – after confirming it does – to extract it from a parallel corpus of Slovak banks' annual reports and their translations.</p> <p>The methodology of terminology retrieval from the corpus is appropriate and a variety of tools and functionalities was used. All the choices made in designing the corpus are well founded, the retreival process is described in detail and is easy to follow. The data retreived from the corpus are further processed and analyzed, and detailed observations are made on selected phenomena (synonymy and inconsistency).</p> <p>The enclosed Slovak-English glossary is a valuable resource and may be used by translators working with this kind of text.</p> <p>The only flaw of the thesis is the use of articles (often missing) and a few typos.</p> <p><strong>Questions for discussion:</strong></p> <p>You claim that translators are non-experts in using the LSP. Is it always the case?</p> <p>What might the reasons for inconsistency within one document?
