This diploma thesis deals with post-intensive care syndrome in patients with COVID-19 diagnosis. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into information about post-intensive care syndrome and the COVID-19 disease. The main goal of this diploma thesis was to document the presence and intensity of the symptoms of post-intensive care syndrome in patients with COVID-19 diagnosis after hospitalization in the intensive care unit. Subsequently, the partial goals were to find out what symptoms of PICS occur in patients, whether vaccination against COVID-19 influences the incidence of PICS symptoms, and to create educational material for non-medical intensive care staff. The survey was based on qualitative research, with the help of semi-structured interviews, which were conducted with a total of 16 patients by telephone three months after the end of hospitalization in an intensive care unit. The output of this thesis is an educational material for intensive care staff.
