Thesis/Dissertation: Mgr. Barbora Šafaříková, učo 184431: Novel molecular mechanisms involved in modulation of TRAIL/death receptor-mediated signaling in cancer cells by chemotherapeutic drugs.
Doctoral thesis
Novel molecular mechanisms involved in modulation of TRAIL/death receptor-mediated signaling in cancer cells by chemotherapeutic drugs.
Nové molekulární mechanismy zapojené v modulaci signálních drah cytokinu TRAIL a receptorů smrti u nádorových buněk prostřednictvím chemoterapeutických látek.
Abstract
TRAIL (ligand indukující apoptózu, patřící do rodiny faktoru nekrotizujícího nádory) je jedinečný cytokin, který selektivně indukuje smrt u maligních, ale ne normálních buněk. Interakce TRAILu s receptory smrti DR4 a DR5 vede k vytvoření komplexu DISC (signální komplex indukující smrt), aktivaci kaspázy-8 a efektorových kaspáz. Často je vyžadováno zesílení apoptotického signálu pomocí aktivace mitochondriální …more
Abstract
TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand) is a unique cytokine that selectively activates apoptotic signaling in malignant but not in normal cells. Interaction of TRAIL with its death receptors DR4 and DR5 results in death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) formation, followed by caspase-8 activation and subsequent effector caspases activation. The amplification of apoptotic signal …more
