Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem nedefinovaného chování a jeho aspekty. Vysvětluje některá konkrétní nedefinovaná chování vybraná ze standardu C a ke každému poskytuje detailní popis z pohledu programátora a testera. Shrnuje možnosti jak předejít a testovat tato nedefinovaná chování. Toho je dosáhnuto pomocí kompilátorů a různých nástrojů, které jsou v práci uvedeny a dále popsány. Práce obsahuje sadu ukázkových příkladů, které usnadňují porozumění jednotlivým nedefinovaným chováním.

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the concept of undefined behavior and its aspects. It explains some specific undefined behaviors extracted from the C standard and provides each with a detailed description from the view of a programmer and a tester. Thesis description
The student's task is to analyse the concept of undefined behaviour in the C language from the point of view of a tester and a developer. The student will describe what is the purpose of undefined behaviour, why it is dangerous, and provide a summary of the current state regarding the prevention and detection of undefined behaviour. On top of that, blind spots where there is currently no tool available should be identified. The thesis will be written in English and it should contain set of sample programs. Because the topic is complex and cannot be described in depth in a single thesis, the student will focus on ten instances of undefined behaviour only.
