Agile methods have become a very popular approach to managing the development process after the release of the Manifesto for Agile Software Development. These methods were originally created for small development teams. In recent years, however, they have also begun to work in large companies working on major projects. In these companies work several development teams on the same product and communication and coordination is important. There are new problems, but the solution is not covered by the agile manifesto. In this case, the company can find its own way to manage its activity, or implement one of the frameworks that are created for this purpose. Surveys show that there is a lack of knowledge as one of the main challenges for new companies in agile development. This thesis examines the available scaling frameworks and makes a series of recommendations for an enterprise that wants to transform into agile development and provides sufficient information to successfully transition. This goal is achieved first by studying the five most widely used scaling frameworks, then by observing a company that has already successfully passed the agile transformation. On the basis of this informations, which is further supported by findings from case studies from scientific papers, recommendations are made to help the adaptating company significantly. At the end of the thesis, there are suggested solutions for the enterprise, which was used as a case study in this work.
