This thesis deals with the communication disorder of children at primary school age in mainstream schools in the Central Bohemian region and Highlands. The aim of the study was to determine the status of speech intervention for pupils in the 1st and 2 classes at selected primary schools. The theoretical part deals with a charakteristic of primary school age and developmental changes in this period, as well as communication disorder and the species that are most likely to occur in children of this age. The practical part is a survey designed as a quantitative research that was conducted using anonymous questionnaires to teachers first and second classes already mentioned schools. There was made an analysis of the results of the research and made suggestions for practice.
