The thesis focuses on the relationship between the degree of myopia and the central retinal thickness assessed using OCT. The theoretical part summarizes the classification of myopia, its risk factors, and correction options. The theoretical part also describes the most common retinal pathologies associated with high myopia and the principle of OCT functioning. The practical part evaluates changes in retinal thickness in individual macular areas based on changes in the degree of myopia. The results are compared between the myopic and control group.
