Tato práce si klade za cíl zmapovat citovou vazbu ve střední dospělosti a zjistit, jakou má tato proměnná a dále proměnná rodičovství souvislost s prožíváním strachu ze smrti ve střední dospělosti v jeho jednotlivých dimenzích (strach z vlastní smrti, strach z vlastního umírání, strach ze smrti druhých, strach z umírání druhých).
