The aim of the thesis "Life situation of women with disabilities during their pregnancy and motherhood," is to answer the main research question: "Which factors help with and which ones prevent women with disabilities from coping with motherhood?" The basis of the theoretical part is to define the concept of life situation and social functioning, concept of health and disability, characteristic of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood disabled women, attitudes toward motherhood description of these women, barriers encountered, support options, and internal resources mothers. The methodological part describes applied qualitative research strategies and specific techniques of data collection, semi-structured interview. From the analysis of interviews with eight mothers with disabilities showed that among the factors that help to cope with motherhood, belongs primarily to support relatives, medics friendly approach, using strategies and tools to facilitate childcare, breastfeeding and children's ability to adapt to his mother's affection. For factors which do not facilitate coping with motherhood, can be considered a negative attitude around and physicians, individual physical limitations of women in combination with a barrier outside environment, consisting barriers in the legislation and the lack of available information regarding motherhood of women with disabilities.
