This thesis deals with the Police of the Czech Republic and
describes its position in the system of the state
administration. The Police of the Czech Republic poses the main
executive guarantee of the internal security and public order.
The main tasks of the Police are protecting people and
property, ensuring public order, excepting crimes, registring
and investigating crimes, leading the searches for missing
people and stolen objects, supervising the safety of road
traffic, protecting the state borders and fighting against
terrorism.
