The master´s thesis deals with musical practices in the St.
Mark’s parish Church in Litovel during 17th and 18th century.
The main sources of the research were the church inventories
dated from 1667 to 1923, which contain lists of sheet music and
musical instruments. The inventories from similar locations
were used as a comparative material. The church inventories
that have not yet been presented in literature were
transcribed. Part of a thesis is focused on church musical
instruments. The next topic covers institution of Stadtpfeifer
(Town pipers), which operated in Litovel from 2nd half of 16th
century.
