The Application of Drama Education Methods on Reinforcement of
Communicative Competence in German among Pupils with Specific
Learning Disabilities. Brno, 2009.

This diploma thesis focuses on the influence of drama education
methods on reinforcement of communicative competence in German
among pupil’s with specific learning disabilities. The emphasis
is put on the strengthening of language competence, competence
in group work in foreign language education and in social
skills and abilities to express oneself.
This thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter
discusses the specific learning disabilities, their effect on
the pupil’s personality and his/her surrounding.  The second
chapter deals with foreign-language education of pupils with
specific learning disabilities. The third chapter defines basic
information about Drama education and delimitates techniques
suitable for German language education of (not only) pupils
with specific learning disabilities.  The last chapter focuses
on the actual analysis of German language education in which
the drama education method were used. The particular activities
are described and the results are interpreted.
