Bachelor thesis named Information Behaviour of the Net Generation and its Implications for College Libraries is divided into two parts. The theoretical part presents previous generations and describes characteristics of the Net Generation especially from the view of information seeking behaviour. The practical part introduces selected researches. They all prove that present college students aren’t enough information literate. The thesis also includes my own survey of information behaviour of students at Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University. The findings are compared with the results from scientific researches to find out whether there are similar problems like in other countries in the world. At the end of the thesis I suggest some recommendations that can help to solve the situation.
