Základ úspěchu konzervativního křídla práce spatřuje zejména v relativně rychlém ovládnutí ministerstva vnitra a jemu podřízených bezpečnostních složek, výrazné sovětské podpoře, poslušnosti velení armády vůči sovětské generalite a znovuzavedením rozsáhlé cenzury. Annotation This thesis deals with the restoration of the totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia after the occupation by Warsaw Pact troops on the 21st August 1968. It aims at progressive promoting of the conservative wing of the Communist Party's in its leadership and at restore of the Communist Party leadership in the years 1969 - 1971. The thesis also describes the Soviet interference in the internal politics of Czechoslovakia with intent to successfully restore a totalitarian socialism after the release in 1968. 7th chapter is devoted to criminal repression in given years. The goal is to capture the nature of totalitarianism in CSSR, the process of reducing existing democratic principles and repressive methods of Husak's leadership in gaining power and also determination of key state and party institutions, which are important for take-over power. The basis of the success of the conservative wing sees the thesis mainly in a relatively quick control over the Interior Ministry and subordinated security forces, strong Soviet support, obedience to the command of the army against the Soviet generals and widespread reintroduction of censorship.
