The bachelor thesis observes and compares the teaching of passé
composé in frontal teaching and with the Duolingo application.
At the beginning the application, its his-tory and its teaching
method are introduced. The next part focuses on practical
re-search carried out in two Czech grammar schools. During the
research, half of the class worked with the app and the other
half with the teacher, after which the gram-mar covered was
tested. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on students‘ opinions
on different types of teaching. It concludes with a graphical
evaluation of the tests, which shows the importance of the
human teacher.
