The thesis "Bridging and Literature - An Interdisciplinary Concept of a Reading Diary" explores an alternative approach to supporting reading literacy among high school students through the integration of literature and art education. The theoretical part focuses on evaluating the current form of the Czech language graduation exam, the successful completion of which depends on reading literacy. However, this literacy continues to decline, making it necessary to adopt new approaches to help high school students connect with books. The thesis proposes the creation of emotional and aesthetic experiences as a potential solution, achieved through specific activities tailored to individual literary works. For six works from different periods, it describes within a theoretical framework activities that could complement a traditional reading diary for students. In the practical part, the thesis presents the interventions conducted and interviews with the participants. The aim of the work is to emphasize the importance of art education in the context of interdisciplinary relationships and to provide inspiration for graduates and their teachers for alternative engagement with literature.
