- Certificate from the two-week intensive English-language international summer school. The event was held in Beijing based on cooperation between the London School of Economics and Political Science and Peking University. The summer school offered challenging university-level courses in subjects including economics, management, international relations, media and law, all with a special focus on China and Asia. The course was assessed, including a final examination.

- Certificate from a unique week-long event. UKERC's Energy Summer School combined seminars from internationally leading speakers with challenging project work and professionally facilitated developmental activities. It gathered international first and second year PhD students with a broader understanding of energy research, including the technical, physical, social, economic, environmental and business aspects of energy systems.
