- Scientific and research activities
- I have a long-term interest in critical approaches to mainstream economic theory and in heterodox economic thinking, especially in the fields of Ecological economics and Degrowth. I have worked on comparative research of Czech and British social enterprises (summarised in my PhD thesis and the book Living in the Cracks, both accessible on-line). My current work focuses on "alternative economic practices" (including social enterprises, co-operatives, local food projects, etc.) in the global North and South and their role in current and future degrowth economies.
- In 2014 -2016 I headed and susccessfully completed a Czech Grant Agency research project focused on community economies (Project No. 14-33094S, Forms and Norms of Alternative Economic practices in the Czech Republic). Other grant projects I participated in are accessible on the MU website.
