Course objectives
The course focuses on public support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It presents specifics of Czech business environment, general motives for enterprise support and guides and conceptual documents from which the support result. It also presents forms, instruments, programmes and institutions supporting enterprises. The main emphasis is placed on support at regional level (regional programmes, innovation centres, clusters and so on). To ensure integrated understanding the course also deals with support at national and European level. The attention is also paid to preparing of application of support. At the end of this course students should be able to adapt to changes in this area, to recommend suitable support for a specific firm in a specific situation and should know the basic procedures during support applying.
