Course objectives
The enterprises are the basic element of each market economy. Enterprise contributes to development regions and whole society. The enterprises represent the main source of job opportunities and through it they influent unemployment rate as well as the high of average income in the regions and the income of public budgets. The firms are also important source of innovations and progress. However, support of enterprise from public finance is very controversial matter. Each state has its own system for development and support of enterprise, especially small and medium-sized enterprise.

At the end of the course students should be able to:
- discuss the importace of enterprise for development of states and regions;
- assess the significance and the contribution of enterprise public support;
- interpret the system for for support of enterprise;
- propose apropriace forms of financing of development business projects;
- calculate the amount of public support for project;
- prepare application for business project support;

Teaching methods
Lessons take form of lectures (every week) and seminars (every week). Continuous self-study is expected. Students create and present a group seminar project.
Assessment methods
The written exam consists of three parts: a numerical exercise, open questions and a multiple choice test. 30 points can be usually obtained in total; to pass the exam the student needs 21 points (70 %). Semester requirements: obligatory attendance at seminars, create and present the project, participate in 2 written tests, each with 10 questions – at least 6 correct answers (60 %) are necessary to pass.
