Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic concepts of descriptive statistics (measures of central tendency, variability, depending). Knowledge of their application in the analysis of research data.

Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to: Orientation in basic terms of quantitative research. Gaining competencies to create quantitative research project. Mastering the basic concepts of the theory of measurement (measuring scale) and statistical methods (descriptive statistics, inferential statistics).
Syllabus
  • The general structure of scientific work. Quantitative research. Research methods, types of research. Research problem, research question, objective research. Hypotheses. Variable types. Quality criteria (reliability, objectivity, validity). Methods of descriptive and inferential statistics.

Assessment methods
Credit: presentation of the project DP, participation in education (seminars 100% compensation in another group, 1 excused absence possible). Lectures: participation of at least 2/3 (when none of the final test). Examination: evaluation of DP project work, written test (cloister, 30 issues for successfully managing   21b).
