Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve:
- the improvement of motion skills and fitness,
- the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities considered as the protection against conflicts, civilization diseases and stress,
- a learning the basic exercises performed with the olympic bar,
- the theory and practice of the powerlifting (basic skills),
- the theory and practice of the olympic weightlifitng.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able:
- master basic and modified exercises performed with the olympic bar,
- master a proper technique of the powerlifting exercises (squat, bench press and deadlift) and the weightlifting exercises (snatch and cleand and jerk).
Syllabus
  • Exercises with the olympic bar
  • 1. The introduction of using the olympic weightlifting bar. Basic information to the powerlifting and weightlifting.
  • 2. Learning the mobility drills and the core stabilization.
  • 3. The Squat school - drills for a proper technique of the different types of squats (front, back and overhead squats) with the different depth (full squats, paraller squats and half squats).
  • 4. Learning the proper technique of the bench press and the deadlift a their modifications.
  • 5. Training the powerlifting exercises.
  • 6. Introduction to the olympic weightlifting and learning the basics of the weightlifting.
  • 7. Training the weightlifitng exercises - the snatch and the clean and jerk.
  • 8. The small classroom competition (voluntary).

General note: Česky/English: Pro muže i ženy, zkušenosti nejsou nutné. S sebou: sportovní oblečení, pevná obuv. For men and women, there is not pressumed any experiences. It is necessery to have clothes for sport, confinet shoes.
