Předmět je určen především studentům magisterského studia oboru právo, u nichž se předpokládá základní znalost disciplín vyučovaných v 1.-6. semestru. Výhodou bude znalost anglického nebo německého jazyka.

Course objectives
At the end of the course, student should be able to:
- understand basic issues in private legal regulation of ICT
- analyze and solve particular problems of private legal jurisdiction on the internet
- analyze and solve particular problems of electronic contracting
- analyze and solve particular problems of the use of electronic signatures
- analyze and solve particular problems of intellectual property on-line

  • Introduction to private ICT law
  • Applicability of law on the internet - collision questions
  • Legal implications of the structure of the internet and responsibility of information intermediaries
  • Specific issues in ISP responsibility - analysis of the recent case-law
  • Electronic documents and electronic contracting
  • Concept and legal regime of domain names
  • Domain disputes in legal practice
  • Concept of on-line intellectual property and legal regime of open licences
  • Legal protection of software
  • Legal remedies in spamming
  • Unfair competition on the internet
  • Conclusions, assessment of colloquial assignments
