Course objectives
At the end of these lectures collection a student will be able to interpret general knowledge from pharmacology about particular drug groups and their influence to organism. The student defines application of the eye drugs and therapy of diseases.

Syllabus
  • manner and form of applied drugs of ophthalmology, preparations of drugs, cornea permeability, blood-ocular barier, hypersensitiveness and habituation on ocular medicines, and their effect on autonomic system. parasympathomimetics, drugs blocks cholinesterase, miotics, parasympatholytics, mydriatics sympathomimetics, sympatholytics, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, hyperosmotic agents topical anesthetics, corticosteroids anti-infective drugs, introduction to microbiology, bacteria, fungi, viri. Antibiotics, sulfonamides, adstringens, antiseptics, antifungales, antivirals. vitamins, antihistamines, viscouses drugs, vazodilatants, iodine preparations, special therapy of ocular tissues, therapy of cataract and glaukoma visit of ophthalmological clinic, practice of applications ocular drugs, asepsis and disinfection
