  • Medical English. Syllabus.
  • 1st week: Testing of Initial Knowledge.
  • 2nd week: Grammar: "Going to" Construction, Some, Any, No, Who, What, Which; Questions about Subject. Special Theme: Characterization of the Subject of Study in English.
  • 3rd week: Grammar: Simple Past Tense, Questions and Negative Forms. Special Theme: Human Body.
  • 4th week: Grammar: Conditional, Should, Could, Expressions with "let", Infinitive without the Particle "to". Special Theme: Musculoskeletal System.
  • 5th week: Grammar: The Verb "Have", Simple Present Perfect Tense, Compound Words with Some, Any, No. Special Theme: Musculoskeletal System.
  • 6th week: Grammar: -ing Forms, Possessives Acting as Pronouns, Other Meanings of May, Must. Special Theme: Cardiovascular System.
  • 7th week: Grammar: Continuous Past Tense, Pronouns Who, Which, That; Verbs Must - Have to. Special Theme: Cardiovascular System.
  • 8th week: Grammar: Passive Voice, "One" Used Instead of a Noun, Numerals Thousand, Million. Special Theme: Hematic and Lymphatic System.
  • 9th week: Grammar: Definite and Indefinite Articles. Irregular Plurals, "So do I, neither do I" Constructions, Suffixes -ful, -less, -y. Special Theme: Blood Vessels, Circulation of Blood.
  • 10th week: Grammar: Continuous Present Perfect Tense, the Difference between Continuous Present Perfect and Simple Present Perfect Tenses, Names of Months, Seasons, Ordinal Numerals, Dates. Special Theme: Gastrointestinal System.
  • 11th week: Grammar: Revision. Reflexive and Emphasizing Pronouns, Temporal and Conditional Clauses, Articles Used with Proper Names. Special Theme: Gastrointestinal System.
  • 12th week: Grammar: Periphrastic Forms of Can, May, Must. Special Theme: Respiratory System.

Výuka probíhá formou cvičení. Na konci podzimního semestru je zakončena zápočtem (z), na konci jarního semestru zkouškou (Zk), která má písemnou a ústní část.
