Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basics of neurology.
Learning outcomes
• The student knows the basic concepts of neurology for the needs of special educators;
• can apply the acquired knowledge in educating a pupil with special educational needs.
Syllabus
  • Anatomy of nervous system,
  • neuron and reflexive activity,
  • motor, sensitive ans peripheral nerve and vegetative autonomous system,
  • brain nerves,
  • reticular formation of cerebral stem,
  • cerebral cortex, functional asymmetry of cerebral hemispheres, symbolic functions,
  • consciousness and sleep,
  • infantile cerebral palsy, mini cerebral dysfunctions, epileptic syndromes, headaches,
  • infantile neurosis, head and spinal injuries.
