Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able: to compare sentences in terms of grammar and meaning; to correct mistakes in sentences; to provide explanations and examples of their own; to analyze stretches of language and justify choices of structures, and identify the speaker's attitudes and intentions.

  • 1. Pronouns of all kinds. 2. Pronoun adverbs, adverbial and pronominal functions. 3. Adverbs 4. Prepositions. 5. Conjunctions in co-ordinate and sub-ordinate clauses. 6. Exclamations. 7. Verb. Verb forms. Conjugation survey. Tenses and voices.

Lecture with active participation (70%). Seminar: Requirements for ending: written test (as a successful test is considered one with at least 70 % right answers).

Written test (minimal 70 % correctness) and oral examination.
