Course objectives
The objective is to devote as much time as possible to revision and mastery of the Japanese characters kanji by the students, as well as a further development of Japanese vocabulary. An active mastery of reading and writing Japanese characters will be essential for further advancement in the study of Japanese language. Regular course attendance is compulsory.
Learning outcomes
After a successful completion of the course, student will be able to:
- read and understand the meaning of basic Japanese sentences;
- write, read and understand the meaning of basic Japanese characters;
- theoretically analyze basic Japanese characters.

Teaching methods
Introduction to kanji combined with practical drills aimed at mastering the correct writing of Japanese characters.
Assessment methods
Periodical tests combined with final written exam, score 70 % and higher required. Regular class attendance is compulsory.
