Prerequisites (v češtině)
Posluchači jsou na základě rozboru nářečních textů a nahrávek seznamováni s diachronní a synchronní charakteristikou českých dialektů i s vývojovými tendencemi současné mluvené češtiny (zvláštní pozornost je věnována mluvě města Brna). Seminář přibližuje také metodiku dialektologické práce, její tradice i současné úkoly. Podle aktuálních možností je součástí seminární výuky účast na nářečním výzkumu, příp. návštěva dialektologického pracoviště. Zaměření semináře je modifikováno v závislosti na tom, zda posluchači získali základní poučení o českých dialektech v semináři k Úvodu do studia českého jazyka a zda už absolvovali seminář k Historické mluvnici češtiny.

Course objectives
Attendants of this course learn the diachronic and synchronic characteristics of Czech territorial dialects and developmental tendencies of modern spoken Czech. Classroom work is based on textual analysis. The course also expounds methods of dialectological work. Notable attention is given to the language geography. Students are expected to take part in the field research.

Assessment methods (v češtině)
Předpokladem pro udělení zápočtu je prokázaná základní orientace v českých dialektech a odevzdání seminární práce shrnující výsledky vlastního nářečního výzkumu v místě bydliště, resp. v doporučené nářeční lokalitě.
