Course objectives

Concepts of the social philosophy and of the philosophy of history from the half of XIX. cent. till today.

Syllabus

1. Utopianism
2. Marxist understanding to the history
3. Positivistic understanding to the history (Comte, Mill)
4. Irrationalism (Nietzsche a Spengler)
5. Structuralist understanding to the history and a man
6. The history in the school of Annales
7. Neo-Thomistic understanding to the history and society
8. The understanding to the history, man, and society in the ecological philosophy
9. The history as seen in the theory of post-industrial society (Bell, Toffler)
10. Liberalism in the history and today (Hayek)
11. Possible schemes of the historical development and the restoration of the believe to the progress (Fukuyama)
11. Students will also discuss the systematic terms and questions as revolution and evolution, nature and a man etc.
