Course objectives
Concepts of the social philosophy and of the philosophy of history from the half of XIX. cent. till today.
Syllabus
  • 1. Utopianism
  • 2. Marxist understanding to the history
  • 3. Positivistic understanding to the history (Comte, Mill)
  • 4. Irrationalism (Nietzsche a Spengler)
  • 5. Structuralist understanding to the history and a man
  • 6. The history in the school of Annales
  • 7. Neo-Thomistic understanding to the history and society
  • 8. The understanding to the history, man, and society in the ecological philosophy
  • 9. The history as seen in the theory of post-industrial society (Bell, Toffler)
  • 10. Liberalism in the history and today (Hayek)
  • 11. Possible schemes of the historical development and the restoration of the believe to the progress (Fukuyama)
  • 11. Students will also discuss the systematic terms and questions as revolution and evolution, nature and a man etc.
